Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum sounded off against California higher education in Wisconsin Monday, saying that some of the state’s universities do not teach American history. “I was just reading something last night from the state of California. And that the California universities – I think it’s seven or eight of the California system of universities don’t even teach an American history course,” Santorum said. “It’s not even available to be taught.” But UC spokesperson Brooke Converse told Think Progress, which originally reported the story, that all University of California undergraduate programs require students to study American history and institutions, though the exact requirements vary by campus. Santorum has expressed critical views of higher education in the past. He once said that President Barack Obama wants everyone to go to college because they are “indoctrination mills.” He also told George Stephanopoulos, host of ABC’s “This Week,” that colleges are bastions of liberalism that are hostile to students who are conservative, among other remarks. “It’s preposterous. I specifically came to UC Davis because of the strong history program here,” said Loh. Step into a history class on the UC Davis campus and most students can highlight their award-winning professors and American history courses. “One of my professors and mentors is Allen Taylor, a Pulitzer Prize winner, who basically wrote the textbook for US History,” said student Rene Macleay. This is why some students are so surprised to hear Rick Santorum say this: “I think it’s seven or eight of them, of the California system of universities, don’t even teach an American history course.” “Eight of our faculty won distinguished teaching awards. Four of those are American history, clearly preposterous to say we don’t teach American history,” said David Biale, Chairman of the History Department. Biale says one thousand students are enrolled in American History this quarter. It’s not only offered, but required for all UC students. “We’re in the business of educating citizens of California, us and the world,” said Biale. But even Baile admits, despite his distinguished staff, republican followers may still believe Santorum’s attack against Californians’ education regardless of its accuracy. Now, Baile wonders if politicians are trying to rewrite history to sway voters.

The only thing different this election is Mitt Romney using Newt Gingrich's tactic when Newt gets caught lying, i.e. you're getting mean be polite! Well, the founding fathers didn't do that. Let's see if Mitt Romney can handle truthful attacks against his outright and proven lies (see above).
2. Mitt Romney's Is Using Divisive politics like when he endorsed Scott Walker who divided his State so badly he went through a recall election - He was doing the opposite of Ronald Regan too! (i.e. Mitt is DEFINITELY using Frank Luntz - see video of Frant Luntz above)
